I am one of the co-founders and co-organizers of EMPoWeR (Empirical Methods in Politics for Women Researchers), a network that seeks to promote women in political methodology in Europe through training, networking opportunities, mentorship, and social media.
The first event promoted by the network was the Zurich Summer School for Women in Political Methodology, held on 2-9 August 2017 at the University of Zurich. We are currently in the third edition (2019) of the Summer School.
During the program, participants receive training on six different computational methods and have the opportunity of networking with up-and-coming and established scholars from their fields, becoming members of a mentoring network, and completing a project to assist their research during the workshop.
